Overview

Labels ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Labels app handles information when you use the app.

Depending on which features you choose to use, Labels may:

Store your session history, custom labels, settings, and reminder preferences locally on your device
Request access to Speech Recognition and the microphone for voice labels
Request access to Apple Health to save mindful session data
Request permission to send local reminders

Information we handle

1. Data you create in the app

Labels may store the following information on your device:

Session history
Labels you tap during sessions
Session notes
Custom labels you create
Session length and app preferences
Reminder schedules
Whether certain premium or onboarding screens have been seen

This information is stored locally on your device using Apple-provided local storage.

2. Voice labels

If you enable Voice Labels, Labels requests access to your microphone and Apple Speech Recognition. Audio is used only to support the voice-label feature. We do not use voice recordings for advertising.

Speech processing may be handled by Apple as part of Apple's Speech Recognition services. Your use of those services is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

3. Apple Health

If you enable Apple Health integration, Labels may write mindful session data to the Apple Health app. We do not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data brokering, and we do not disclose Health data to third parties.

4. Reminders and notifications

If you enable session reminders, Labels may schedule local notifications on your device based on the reminder times you choose.

5. App Store purchases

If you purchase premium features through Apple's App Store, payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.

What we do not do

Labels does not currently:

Require user accounts
Operate a user-to-user social network
Use third-party advertising SDKs
Sell personal information
Intentionally track you across other companies' apps or websites
Send your session history or custom labels to our own external servers

How your information is used

Labels uses information only to provide app features, including:

Running and saving your sessions
Showing trends and history
Enabling voice labels
Saving mindful sessions to Apple Health if you choose
Scheduling reminders if you choose
Remembering your app settings and layout preferences

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information when necessary for the features you choose to use:

With Apple Health / HealthKit, if you enable Apple Health
With Apple Speech Recognition services, if you enable Voice Labels
With Apple notification services for local notification permission handling

Data retention

Because Labels primarily stores data on your device, your information remains on your device unless you delete it, remove the app, or choose to save data to Apple Health. Health data saved to Apple Health is managed by Apple Health and can be reviewed or deleted there.

Your choices

You can choose whether to enable or disable Voice Labels, Apple Health access, session reminders, and premium features. You can also delete saved sessions and custom labels within the app. You may manage app permissions at any time in your device Settings.

Children's privacy

Labels is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
